Really good location for Newcastle and especially the Metro Centre. I was very impressed with my stay considering the low price. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

It feels like it is in the middle of an industrial estate, which can feel a little unsafe, although the hotel itself felt secure.

the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly the room was big with plenty of space for a travel cot

3 complaints were mentioned almost straight away and these were fixed quickly. they were tv broken, bedside lamps broken and screws poking out of the walls. there were many other faults with the hotel. they were, holes in bath mat, dilapidated decoration/room. loud constant humming noise heard in the room all the time. rooms were dirty - empty smelling beer cans found behind the bed

The staff were hard working and friendly and we found it down to earth without being too tatty which is how we prefer a hotel.

The only thing that I didnt like was that the dining room at breakfast time was very cold with just a small electric heater to take off the chill but we were the first in so maybe it wasnt too cold later

The bReakfast was very good and staff were friendly

I didnt feel it was fantastic value for money and was overpriced. The washing facilities were poor but the room was comfortable and clean-ish

Very good breakfas in pleasant conservatory. Staff friendly and obliging

Single room needed refurbishment, and more thorough cleaning

I didn't have a room when I arrived and had booked four months ago, we ended up in a twin room, it was advertised as half a mile away from arena but was an eight pound taxi ride each way, it was dirty, dudnt dare use bath or try breakfast,

    Friendliness of staff

Hard to find Not easy to get a taxi back from town on a Saturday night

Absolutely nothing. It was awful and will never be back!!!!

Room was very dated, not very clean. Kettle in room had spores and fungi growing on the sides and in water. All the floor boards creaked. Very noisey other guests arriving at 4 and 6 o'clock in the morning after a boozey session. walls paper thin could hear a pin drop on either side. Breakfast very basic and cooked once then microwaved when required. location very deceptive actually on an industrial estate - very picturesque!

The staff are so friendly. There is some dust in the rooms but that doesn't bother you when you have staff that are so kind :) will defo book again

all of it. Dirty.Unclean,Noisy in the evening till 6am.Fire doors getting slammed all night.lack of sleep. first and last time we will go there.

  • Couple

The inclusive full breakfast is nice, many hotels in the area charge extra for it, the location is fairly quiet.. As it is in the middle of an industrial estate !!!!! it is warm & there is lots of hot water available. The carpark is free, it is easy to find , just 2 mins from the a1.

Its a 70s throwback hotel, no shower, just a medium size cast iron bath with broken taps, the hair dryer didnt work & the bed was broken . there seems to be lots of fire doors ..all of which bang during the night.
